+    </verse>

+    <heading>The Day of the <span class="divine-name">Lord</span> Is Near</heading>

+        <begin-line/><crossref let="m" cid="c36001007.1"/>Be silent before the Lord <span class="divine-name">God</span>!<end-line class="br"/>
+        <begin-line class="indent"/>For <crossref let="n" cid="c36001007.2"/>the day of the <span class="divine-name">Lord</span> is near;<end-line class="br"/>
+        <begin-line/><crossref let="o" cid="c36001007.3"/>the <span class="divine-name">Lord</span> has prepared a sacrifice<end-line class="br"/>

+        <begin-line class="indent"/>all who weigh out silver are cut off.<end-line class="br"/>
+    </verse>

+        <begin-line/>the sound of the day of the <span class="divine-name">Lord</span> is bitter;<end-line class="br"/>

+        <begin-line class="indent"/>and against the lofty battlements.<end-line/>

+    <verse num="17">
+        <begin-line/><crossref let="k" cid="c36001017.1"/>I will bring distress on mankind,<end-line class="br"/>
+        <begin-line class="indent"/>so that they shall walk <crossref let="l" cid="c36001017.2"/>like the blind,<end-line class="br"/>
+        <begin-line class="indent"/>because they have sinned against the <span class="divine-name">Lord</span>;<end-line class="br"/>

+        <begin-line/><crossref let="o" cid="c36001018.1"/>Neither their silver nor their gold<end-line class="br"/>
+        <begin-line class="indent"/>shall be able to deliver them<end-line class="br"/>
+        <begin-line class="indent"/>on the day of the wrath of the <span class="divine-name">Lord</span>.<end-line class="br"/>

+        <begin-line/>a land possessed by nettles and salt pits,<end-line class="br"/>

+        <begin-line/>The remnant of my people shall plunder them,<end-line class="br"/>

+        <begin-line class="indent"/>devastation will be on the threshold;<end-line class="br"/>
