+## Introduction
+
+Getting around Georgia involves a mix of transport options. In Tbilisi, the metro (მეტრო) and minibuses (მარშრუტკა, marshrutka) are ubiquitous. Taxis are plentiful and relatively inexpensive. +## Cultural Note: The Marshrutka
+
+The **მარშრუტკა** (marshrutka) is an iconic feature of Georgian transport — a small minibus that runs fixed routes. You pay the driver or pass money forward through other passengers. Tell the driver your destination before boarding, as marshrutkas stop when asked. They are cheap, fast, and an authentic local experience.
