+
+A survey with 5 verified, well-characterized methods is more valuable than one with 20 superficially listed methods. Depth on the top contenders matters more than breadth on everything.
+
+## Evidence-Based Assessment
+
+Every claim in LANDSCAPE.md must trace to a source. "Method X achieves 0.95 PSNR" must cite the paper or benchmark. Unverified performance claims are flagged as such.
+
+## Temporal Awareness
+
+Research moves fast. Always note:
+- When a paper was published (year, month if possible)
+- When a benchmark was last updated
+- When a GitHub repo was last committed to
+- Whether a method has been superseded
+
+Stale information is worse than missing information because it creates false confidence.
+
+## Honest Gaps
+
+Report what you could NOT find. "No public implementation found" and "Benchmark results not independently reproduced" are valuable findings. Do not fill gaps with speculation.
