+### FID Ground-Truth Verification
+
+FID status metadata is manually maintained and can drift from reality. **When reporting FID status, verify against the
+codebase.** FID metadata is a claim, not ground truth.

+1. Before reporting any FID's status, check that the files referenced in the FID actually exist and contain the
+   described implementation.
+2. If FID metadata claims `analyzed` but code exists → flag the discrepancy and update the FID.

+4. Status reports that don't include codebase verification evidence are invalid.

+

+- **Margin: 77%** — even worst-case, the goal system is profitable
