+# Typed Review Panel Provenance Protocol
+
+This protocol records what is known about how a review panel was executed. It
+does not turn reviewer names, roles, or personas into a binary independence
+claim.
+
+## Canonical artifacts
+

+This artifact family is closed to `reviewer_full`. Every input binds
+`mode: reviewer_full`, `contract_id: reviewer/reviewer_full/v2`, and the pinned
+SHA-256 of the exact raw bytes of `shared/contracts/reviewer/full.json`. Its
+seat roster is ordered exactly `EIC`, `R1`, `R2`, `R3`, `DA`; a missing,
+additional, renamed, duplicated, or reordered seat is invalid. Other modes do
+not borrow this family and must omit the Schema 6 carrier.
+
+The dispatching layer records one input seat per actual review execution. The
+fixed `seat_id` identifies the contract seat, but `role_id` is still an actual
+execution observation: an unrecorded role or other observation may be omitted,
+and the builder normalizes it to `null` or `unknown`. Producers MUST NOT fill an
+absent fact by inference from the fixed seat label, persona, role prompt,
+configured model, or intended routing plan.

+`context_id` identifies the actual isolated invocation context, not a topic,
+prompt template, or persona. `peer_outputs_visible` records whether that seat
+could see another seat's output before committing its own review. A seat that
+combines accountable human judgment and model execution uses `actor_type:
+"hybrid"`; the builder rejects contradictory `human` and `model` identity
+claims rather than guessing.
+
+`model_family` and `provider` use the dispatcher's canonical lower-case IDs,
+not display names. The schema rejects case and whitespace variants so trivial
+label drift cannot manufacture diversity. Alias/version taxonomy beyond those
+canonical IDs remains the dispatcher's responsibility.
+
+## Closed axes
+
+Each output axis is exactly `true`, `false`, or `"unknown"`:
+

+Two known model families or providers are sufficient to establish the
+corresponding diversity axis even if another seat is unknown. A `false` value
+requires complete evidence capable of ruling diversity out.
+
+Every artifact and carrier fixes
+`fresh_context_scope: within_panel_attempt_only`. The builder receives no
+prior-attempt history. Therefore `fresh_context: true` does **not** establish
+that any context ID is new relative to retries, earlier rounds, or another
+artifact; two attempts can each truthfully report within-panel separation while
+reusing the same identifiers across attempts. A future history-aware contract
+would require an explicit closed attempt ledger and is not simulated here.
+
+## No binary independence reduction
+
+The output carries the fixed value:

+The schemas are closed and reject an `independent` property at the panel or
+seat level. Consumers MUST display the six axes individually and MUST NOT
+collapse them to a binary or numeric independence score. In particular,
+`role_separated: true` proves role separation only.
+
+## Correlated-error disclosure
+
+The builder derives the disclosure from `model_family_distinct`:
+
+- `false`: disclosure is required with reason `same_model_family`.
+- `"unknown"`: disclosure is required with reason `model_family_unknown`;
+  correlated-error risk cannot be ruled out.
+- `true`: the family-status disclosure is not required. This does not establish
+  independence on any other axis.
+
+Same-family text is fixed by the schema and cannot be suppressed or replaced
+by a generic persona-diversity statement.
+
+## Build and replay validation
+

+Validation checks the closed schema, duplicate seat IDs, actor/identity
+coherence, exact mode/contract/roster binding, the canonical
+normalized-manifest digest, every derived axis, the fixed scope and
+non-independence claim, and the correlated-error disclosure. A manually edited
+derived field fails deterministic replay.
+
+The output also carries `execution_topology_sha256`, a deterministic hash over
+the exact mode/contract binding, ordered seat id/observed role, actor type,
+actual model family/provider, accountable human identity, peer-output
+visibility, all six derived axes, and the fixed freshness scope. Per-run
+`context_id` values are excluded so the same configuration can match across
+attempts; the within-panel `fresh_context` axis remains included. This digest
+is an exact configuration-match key for bounded calibration profiles, not a
+score, a history check, or an independence claim.
+
+## Schema 6 carrier
+
+Current `reviewer_full` output must carry exactly one object validated by
+`review_panel_provenance_carrier.schema.json`. Its `valid` branch contains the
+relative artifact path, SHA-256 of the artifact's **exact raw bytes**, the
+artifact's normalized-manifest and execution-topology digests, the fixed
+fresh-context scope, and all six axes. Runtime validation resolves the path
+under an explicit artifact root, rejects path escape, hashes the raw bytes,
+schema-validates and deterministically replays the artifact, and compares every
+carried value. Letter prose is never a substitute.
+
+The `invalid` branch records one reason — `absent`, `unreachable`,
+`digest_mismatch`, `schema_invalid`, or `replay_invalid` — and fixes all six
+axes to `unknown`. It cannot retain a path or digest that could look verified.
+An invalid branch is a structurally valid, fail-visible execution state; the
+CLI reports it with a non-zero status. `reviewer_full` cannot silently omit the
+field. `reviewer_methodology_focus`, `reviewer_re_review`, `reviewer_quick`,
+`reviewer_guided`, and `reviewer_calibration` must omit it because no equivalent
+typed artifact contract is shipped for those modes; unknown mode labels are
+rejected rather than treated as another omission case.

+
+A cognitive framework for producing high-quality reviews. Teaches **how to think** about paper quality, not just which judgement label to emit.
+
+## The Three Lenses
+
+Every paper should be evaluated through three lenses simultaneously:
+
+### Lens 1: Internal Validity — "Does the evidence support the claims?"
+
+Ask in order:
+1. What is the central claim?
+2. What evidence is presented?
+3. Is there a logical chain from evidence to claim? (Warrant)
+4. Are there alternative explanations the authors didn't consider?
+5. Would removing any single piece of evidence collapse the argument?
+
+**If #5 is yes**: The argument depends on a single linchpin. Flag it — the paper's contribution is only as strong as that one piece of evidence.
+
+### Lens 2: External Validity — "Does this matter beyond this study?"
+
+Ask in order:
+1. Who is the population of interest?
+2. Does the sample represent that population?
+3. Are the conditions replicable?
+4. Would the findings hold in a different context/culture/time?
+5. What are the boundary conditions the authors don't mention?
+
+**Judgment heuristic**: Check the manuscript's claimed scope of generalization against its sampling frame — a criterion-only comparison, never an author-population base rate (#574 B1). If the sample is from one university in one country, findings cannot claim to apply "generally" without qualification; if the claims already match the evidence's scope, there is no finding here.
+
+### Lens 3: Contribution — "So what?"
+
+Ask in order:
+1. What did we know before this paper?
+2. What do we know after?
+3. Is the delta meaningful (not just statistically significant)?
+4. Who benefits from knowing this?
+5. What new questions does this open?
+
+**Judgment heuristic**: If you can't articulate the delta in one sentence, either the contribution is weak or the paper hasn't communicated it clearly. Both are review-worthy observations.
+
+## Common Reviewer Traps
+

+# Reviewer Sprint Prompt Source
+
+This file is the single editing source for the prompt text shared by the five
+reviewer seats and the sprint-contract synthesizer. It does not provide a
+runtime include mechanism. The dispatcher deliberately sends the two reviewer
+H3 sections from each agent file verbatim, and the synthesizer receives its
+agent prompt as a whole. Therefore every rendered fragment below must remain
+inlined in the corresponding agent file.
+
+`scripts/check_reviewer_sprint_prompt_sync.py` renders the bounded slots below
+and compares every dispatcher-visible section byte-for-byte. It also requires
+the slot table to mirror the render configuration and pins that mapping plus the
+canonical fragment bytes by SHA-256, so an intentional protocol edit requires
+an explicit same-commit re-pin as well as updates to all inline mirrors. Schema,
+checker, retry, panel-cardinality, and failure-routing details remain normative
+in `sprint_contract_protocol.md`; they are pointer-safe because they are
+orchestration instructions, not a reviewer system prompt.
+

+## Canonical fragments
+
+The marker bodies are literal prompt bytes. Do not wrap them in code fences,
+re-indent them, or introduce an unbounded template slot.
+
+The methodology seat's Phase 2 section is COMPOSED, not free-standing: the
+checker splices the `methodology-receipt` fragment into `scoring-phase2`
+immediately before the terminal-preflight paragraph and compares the result
+byte-for-byte against the agent file (#610). The shared scoring text therefore
+exists exactly once; a scoring-phase2 edit propagates to the methodology
+mirror through the same splice, and an edit that touches only one side fails
+the sync lint.
+
+The methodology seat additionally carries a free-standing `### Phase 2E —
+Numeric extraction (script-adapter dispatch)` section rendered from the
+`methodology-extraction` fragment (#610 step 5). It is dispatched only by an

+   - Declare your panel role exactly once, on its own line: `contract_role: {{ROLE}}`. Place this single report-level line immediately before `## Dimension Scores`; never repeat it inside any dimension subsection.

Findings never share an anchor. Strength subsections never carry a `**Severity**:` field or a `Severity: Strength` sentinel; Severity is weakness-only.
+   - Finding fields may be unindented or Markdown-list-indented, and may be separate lines or pipe-delimited on one line. The complete typed anchor value, including its type and locator, may be bare, backtick-wrapped, or square-bracketed; these presentation variants do not weaken the one-finding/one-Severity/one-anchor gate.
+   - Every Evidence Anchor value begins with the literal `<type>: <locator>` grammar. +**Criteria-aware constructive findings (#684).** When a bound call identifies a
+Critical or Major weakness, also populate the caller-requested
+`constructive-review-findings/1.0` companion artifact. It uses only exact
+criterion id/version/digest pointers from the manifest, records manuscript

+- List every strength and weakness you actually found — no minimum, no maximum. Do not manufacture findings to fill a quota; do not omit real ones to seem agreeable.
+- Every strength carries a typed Evidence Anchor too (the same six-type vocabulary; a section-level locator suffices for a strength, and a `text` anchor still carries its short verbatim quote — the Schema 6 conditional member applies to both polarities) — A2's every-finding rule covers strengths and weaknesses alike.
+- If either list is empty, you MUST emit a `### Coverage Receipt` section: state which polarity it covers (Strengths / Weaknesses / both), then one row per review dimension you examined (your Detailed Comments sub-sections in standard mode; the contract's `acceptance_dimensions` under a sprint contract), with what you checked and the basis for finding nothing of that polarity. An empty finding list without its receipt is invalid.

+- **Singleton-Critical:** if a defect needs sibling findings to reach rejection-level impact, it is not Critical alone. These tests operationalize severity-by-decision-impact and never prescribe expected band frequencies.
+Terminal Phase 2 structural preflight (mandatory). Silently inspect the exact text you are about to send against your supplied Phase 1:
+1. Dissent: if your Phase 2 view differs on exactly one dimension, include `## Scoring Plan Dissent` with exactly one unbulleted `dimension_id: <Dn>` line and exactly one unbulleted `rationale: <nonempty explanation>` line. Each table header contains exactly one column named `#` and exactly one named `Evidence Anchor`; every row is outer-pipe-delimited with the header's column count, and CRITICAL IDs are unique and dense `C1..Cn`. For the DA, these tables are the terminal suffix of `## Review Body`: put every prose paragraph before `#### CRITICAL`; after the CRITICAL table emit only blank lines until `#### MAJOR`, and after the MAJOR table emit only blank lines to the end of Review Body. Do not emit HTML comments anywhere in a DA report.

+- **Anti-bundling:** assign each finding the band justified by its own decision impact; it never inherits a cluster or narrative's band. Joint impact belongs in the dimension score and synthesis.
+- **Singleton-Critical:** if a defect needs sibling findings to reach rejection-level impact, it is not Critical alone. These tests operationalize severity-by-decision-impact and never prescribe expected band frequencies.
+Terminal Phase 2 structural preflight (mandatory). Silently inspect the exact text you are about to send against your supplied Phase 1:
+1. Dissent: if your Phase 2 view differs on exactly one dimension, include `## Scoring Plan Dissent` with exactly one unbulleted `dimension_id: <Dn>` line and exactly one unbulleted `rationale: <nonempty explanation>` line. If it differs on two or more, abort with `[PROTOCOL-VIOLATION: multi_dissent=true]` instead of drafting a card. If none differs, delete the heading and every placeholder beneath it; `none`, `omitted`, and `not applicable` are never a dissent. No bare `<!--` or `-->` — nor any other raw HTML — anywhere in the card outside inline code.
+2. Sections and role: emit exactly one `## Dimension Scores` followed by exactly one `## Review Body`. Put exactly one report-level `contract_role: <your dispatch role>` immediately before `## Dimension Scores` and nowhere else. Delete `## Failure Condition Checks`, `## Editorial Decision`, and every bare `editorial_decision=` line.
+3. Dimensions and abstentions: emit every contract dimension exactly once with its exact ID/name. An eligible dimension uses `block`, `warn`, `pass`, or `not_assessed`; eligible `not_assessed` has exactly one non-empty `abstain_reason:`, while an ineligible dimension uses only `score: not_assessed` with no `abstain_reason:`. No other score carries `abstain_reason:`.
+4. Trigger binding: for every `warn` or `block`, the quoted `trigger:` text is a character-for-character substring of the matching Phase 1 trigger kind for the same dimension. Never paraphrase it. `pass` and `not_assessed` have no `trigger:`.
+5. Fatality: every mandatory `block` has exactly one `block_class:`; `fatal` binds to the Phase 1 fatal trigger, a dissented dimension cannot be fatal, and a non-mandatory dimension has no `block_class:`.

For a scoring seat, every weakness is its own `### W<n>` subsection with exactly one parseable Severity, one typed Evidence Anchor, and one Confidence; every strength has a typed Evidence Anchor and no Severity. If either finding polarity is empty, include its required Coverage Receipt. For the DA, emit exactly one `#### CRITICAL` table and one `#### MAJOR` table, both present even when empty, with no standalone Severity. Each table header contains exactly one column named `#` and exactly one named `Evidence Anchor`; every row is outer-pipe-delimited with the header's column count, and CRITICAL IDs are unique and dense `C1..Cn`. For the DA, these tables are the terminal suffix of `## Review Body`: put every prose paragraph before `#### CRITICAL`; after the CRITICAL table emit only blank lines until `#### MAJOR`, and after the MAJOR table emit only blank lines to the end of Review Body. Do not emit HTML comments anywhere in a DA report.
+7. Anchors: no findings share an anchor. Every anchor uses a valid typed `<type>: <locator>` value with balanced wrappers. Every `text:` anchor contains at least one balanced quoted verbatim excerpt, and each quoted excerpt is at most 25 words. +When invoked under a sprint contract, your job is **arithmetic, not interpretive**. Execute exactly three steps:
+
+Before Step 1 in a criteria-aware run, verify that the EIC, R1, R2, R3, and DA
+cards contain five valid role-specific #684 markers for the same
+`target_review_id`, context hash, `resolved_digest`, and ordered criterion ids.
+Preserve every parallel-conflict group. Missing or mismatched binding aborts the
+criteria-aware synthesis visibly; never reconstruct a target or silently fall
+back. In an explicitly unbound run, require all five cards to disclose
+`criteria_binding_unavailable` and make no venue-alignment claim. Binding

+**Step 1 — Build role-scoped scoring matrix.** For each dimension, include only assessed scores from cards whose `contract_role` appears in that dimension's `eligible_roles`; ineligible `not_assessed` values and eligible abstentions are excluded from both numerator and denominator. Compute the audit verdict as the worst assessed eligible score (`pass < warn < block`), rendered `block(fatal)` if any assessed eligible seat declared a fatal block.

+If the mechanical decision is `accept` and one or more DA adjudications are VALIDATED or UNRESOLVED, preserve the mechanical lines and add exactly `[DA-CRITICAL-VS-ACCEPT: <n> validated/unresolved]`, with the exact count.
