+## What each one is actually for
+
+- **`strict`** is the umbrella: `strictNullChecks` alone eliminates the largest single class of
+  run-time error in this language.
+- **`noUncheckedIndexedAccess`** makes `arr[i]` return `T | undefined`. It is the most annoying
+  setting here and the one that finds the most real bugs — array and record access is where
+  `undefined` enters unnoticed.
+- **`exactOptionalPropertyTypes`** distinguishes "absent" from "present and `undefined`". These
+  differ for `in` checks, spreads, and `JSON.stringify`.
+- **`verbatimModuleSyntax`** forces `import type` to be explicit, so type-only imports cannot survive
+  into emitted code and cause a run-time resolution failure.
+- **`skipLibCheck`** is a pragmatic exception: it skips checking `.d.ts` files, whose errors are
+  usually a dependency's problem and not actionable.

+## Adopting on an existing codebase
+
+Enable one setting at a time and fix the fallout in its own change. Turning on four at once produces
+a diff nobody can review, which ends with the settings being reverted rather than the code being

+## Git Workflow
+
+1. Before any requested commit or PR step, inspect `git status`, the full diff, and recent history so staged changes match the user's intended scope.
+2. Preserve unrelated files and existing user changes. Do not stash, reset, clean, or delete worktree state unless the user explicitly asks and the consequences are clear.
+3. Stage only intended files. Keep local state, evidence directories, archives, package tarballs, secrets, and untracked handoff files out of commits unless the user explicitly scopes them in and they are safe to track.
+4. Write concise commit messages matching repository style and without AI attribution.
+5. If hooks or tests fail, fix the issue and create a new verified state; do not bypass hooks or hide failures.
+6. Before a PR, inspect remote tracking, included commits, diff from base, and release-sensitive files.
+7. Treat version bumps, tags, releases, pushes, force pushes, npm publish, and destructive history rewrites as separately authorized actions.

+## Git Posture in LitOpenCode
+
+Git operations are powerful because they can hide or publish work. The default LitOpenCode posture is read-only until the user explicitly requests a git action. Reading `git status`, `git diff`, and recent log is normal due diligence. Staging, committing, amending, resetting, cleaning, pushing, tagging, opening a PR, or publishing is not normal due diligence; it is a separately authorized action. This separation protects user work, local evidence, and release boundaries.
+
+The agent should also remember that the umbrella workspace may not be a git repository even when subdirectories are. Always run git commands from the actual repository root. If a sibling product has its own history, do not mix commits across products. If a nested package root is the git root, name that root in the DoneClaim and command evidence. A status command run from the wrong directory can produce false confidence.
+
+## Reading State
+
+Before any mutation, inspect status. A clean status means no tracked or untracked changes are visible to git, but it does not prove ignored state is absent. A dirty status may contain user changes, generated output, evidence, or your own edits. Distinguish these categories before touching files. If unrelated user changes exist, preserve them and avoid formatting adjacent code. If untracked handoff, ledger, or evidence files exist and are intentionally ignored, keep them out of commits.
+
+Diff inspection should be complete enough to understand scope. `git diff --stat` gives breadth; full diff gives content. If files are staged, inspect staged and unstaged diffs separately before committing. Recent log helps match commit-message style and branch intent. Do not rely on memory of previous commits in a long session; check the actual log.
+
+## Staging Rules
+
+Stage only intended files. If a task changed tests and docs, stage those tracked files and nothing else. Do not stage package tarballs, dependency directories, temp install folders, evidence ledgers, local state, credentials, screenshots, or generated reports unless the repository explicitly tracks them and the user asked for that output. When in doubt, ask before staging.
+
+Partial staging can be useful but risky. Do not use interactive staging in an automated session unless the user explicitly asks and the tool environment supports safe review. It is better to make the working tree diff cleanly scoped than to hide unrelated edits behind partial staging. If unrelated changes are present, mention them in the final receipt.
+
+## Commit Discipline
+
+Only commit when requested. Before committing, run or cite the relevant verification. Inspect `git status`, full diff, and recent history. Use a concise commit message matching repository style. Do not add AI attribution lines. Do not amend an existing commit unless the user explicitly asks for amend and understands the history impact. If a pre-commit hook fails, fix the issue and try again; do not bypass hooks.
+
+A good commit should represent one coherent change. A docs corpus expansion and its regression test can be one commit. A release version bump may need a separate commit if repository style does that. Unrelated cleanup should not be bundled. If the user asked only for implementation and not a commit, stop with an uncommitted diff and evidence.
+
+## Push, Tags, PRs, and Releases
+
+Pushes and tags affect remotes. Treat them as separately authorized even after a commit. Before pushing, inspect remote tracking and included commits. Do not force-push unless explicitly approved and safe. Before creating a tag or release, run release guardrails and confirm version, changelog, package payload, tests, scanner, and registry state when relevant. Do not create a GitHub release or npm publish from a normal implementation slice.
+
+Before a PR, inspect the diff from base and all commits included in the branch, not just the latest commit. Use the repository’s PR style. Do not include local evidence paths or unverified claims in the PR body. If the PR is release-oriented, mention gates and payload evidence. If checks are pending or failing, report that state rather than claiming ready.
+
+## Destructive Command Boundaries
+
+`reset`, `clean`, `checkout --`, branch deletion, force push, and history rewrite can destroy work. Do not run them without explicit user approval. Even with approval, restate the consequences and inspect status first. Do not use destructive cleanup to make a diff easier to review when unrelated changes belong to the user. If a temp file you created should be removed, remove only that temp file through the safest available file operation.
+
+Package release commands are also destructive in a different way. `npm publish` changes registry state. Version bumps can trigger release workflows. Tags can trigger CI. Host config writes can affect future OpenCode sessions. Keep them behind explicit approval and release guardrails.
+
+## Worktrees and Branches
+
+If the user works with multiple worktrees, identify the current worktree, branch, and upstream before editing or committing. A clean status in one worktree says nothing about another. If two worktrees touch the same files, mention conflict risk. Do not merge branches or delete worktrees unless asked. When comparing branches, use read-only diffs and logs first.
+
+Branch names can imply intent but are not authority. A branch named release does not authorize publishing. A branch named experiment does not authorize ignoring tests. Follow user instructions and repository guardrails.
+
+## Evidence for Git Actions
+
+Git-related DoneClaims should include command evidence: status before commit or at final state, diff summary, tests run, commit hash if committed, push output if pushed, PR URL if created, and cleanup receipt. For non-commit tasks, state that no commit, tag, push, publish, release, or version bump occurred. If local status remains dirty because the task intentionally leaves edits uncommitted, name the changed files.
+
+If a git command fails, report the failure. Do not mask it by saying the work is done. If a hook modifies files, inspect the new diff and rerun relevant tests before committing. If a command output includes private remote URLs or tokens, redact them before including the transcript.
+
+## OpenCode Integration Notes
+
+Git hygiene interacts with OpenCode workflow. `lit-plan` should not run mutating git commands. `start-work` should preserve dirty state and stop before commits unless requested. `review-work` should inspect diff against scope. `release-guardrails` should run before release-oriented git actions. Tool guards should treat dangerous shell patterns as ask-first or denied depending on config. Static skill docs should not tell a future agent to auto-commit from reading the file.
+
+## Common Mistakes
+
+Do not commit ignored evidence because it looks related. Do not stage `package-lock.json` from an accidental install unless dependency changes were intended. Do not reset a file to remove your own mistake if it may contain user edits; inspect first. Do not push a branch because tests pass. Do not create tags to mark local milestones. Do not use a commit message with generated attribution. Good git work is boring, scoped, and reversible until the user chooses to publish it.

+## Pre-Commit Review Packet
+
+When the user explicitly asks for a commit, prepare a packet before staging. Include status, unstaged diff summary, staged diff summary if any, recent commit style, intended files, excluded files, tests run, and remaining risks. Ask for clarification if any changed file does not match the requested scope. Stage only after the packet is coherent.
+
+After committing, verify status and record the commit hash. If hooks changed files, inspect the new diff and decide whether another commit or fix is needed. Do not amend automatically. If the user only asked for a patch and not a commit, skip the packet and leave the diff uncommitted with clear evidence.
+
+## PR Readiness Notes
+
+A PR is a publication of intent even before merge. Review branch base, included commits, diff from base, checks, release-sensitive files, docs, and package payload when relevant. Use `gh` only when a PR is explicitly requested. Return the PR URL and current check state. Do not mark a PR ready if required local gates failed or were skipped without explanation.

+Use this skill when the user needs to UNDERSTAND work that was already done -- after a long agent session, an overnight lit-loop, or a multi-file change -- so they can reason about the work and propose the next change. Understanding, not correctness, is the bottleneck this skill addresses.

+Lit Comprehend is not lit-recap. Lit-recap answers "what happened" (status, chronology). Lit Comprehend builds the artifact a person needs to actually REASON about the work: explainer documents, literate diffs, intuition-building diagrams, and micro-worlds.

+## Execution Gate
+
+The gate decides whether to build immediately or confirm scope first. The rule: **if I had to infer which files/commits to explain, the user must see and approve my choice before the artifact is built.**
+
+**Execute directly** when the user specified a concrete target:
+- A path: `lit-comprehend src/activation-routing.ts`
+- A git range, branch, or PR: `lit-comprehend HEAD~5..HEAD`, `lit-comprehend feature/new-auth`
+
+**Confirm first** when the invocation has no explicit target:
+- Bare: `lit-comprehend`, `comprehend`
+- Prose: `comprehend this session`, `comprehend what just happened`
+
+The confirmation presents (one screen, cheaply derived from `git status` / `git diff --stat` / ledger -- do NOT read the full tree at this stage):
+- **Target**: the file/commit set and its countable size (N files, +M lines; if derived from the ledger, say so)
+- **Exclusions**: what was deliberately left out
+- **Estimate**: expected theme count, quiz question count, approximate time ("a few minutes")
+- **Cheap alternative**: if the question looks answerable in one or two sentences, offer that explicitly
+- Wait for approval before building.
+
+Do not produce any artifact content before the gate passes. Do not claim something was produced before it exists.
+
+## Methodology
+
+### 1. Pin Scope
+
+Choose one: session (default, bounded by durable goal state), a commit range/branch/PR, a path/subsystem, or a question. State the chosen scope and what was excluded. Uncommitted work counts.
+
+### 2. Delta Anchoring
+
+Explain against what the reader ALREADY knew -- their own objective, the brief, the ledger's first timestamp. Not a tutorial from zero. This is the single most important idea.
+
+### 3. Read Before Explaining
+
+Read the real diff, the CURRENT contents of every file you quote, durable goal state under `.litopencode/litgoal/` (goals.json, ledger.jsonl, brief.md, evidence/ directory), and every evidence artifact the ledger cites. A missing cited artifact is a finding, not a detail to smooth over.
+
+### Code Attribution
+
+Every code excerpt MUST carry a `data-src` attribute naming the file it came from:

+The `data-src` value is `<relative-path>` optionally followed by `:<startLine>-<endLine>`. This attribute is what lets the verifier open the cited file and confirm the quoted lines actually exist there — without it, the strongest anti-fabrication check is silently skipped. An artifact that quotes code without attribution has opted out of its own correctness guard and the verifier will reject it.

+### 4. Conceptual Order, Not File Order
+
+Group into 3-6 named themes ordered so each is comprehensible from what came before. Place each excerpt where the reader has a reason to care.
+
+### 5. Intuition Before Mechanism
+
+Use toy data reused across the whole document. Provide 2-3 reusable diagram families: pipeline, before/after, state/timeline, or simplified UI. Build diagrams from HTML/CSS. Never use ASCII art.
+
+### 6. Micro-world
+
+Provide a small interactive widget -- a faithful miniature, a slider, a step-through, or an old/new toggle -- so the reader can FEEL the behavior. Always label as a simplified model, never present as the real code. Omit for purely structural changes.
+
+### 7. Honesty Ledger
+
+Under the canonical section header, report: what is verified by a command vs merely read; code that exists but was never executed; work the objective asked for that did not happen; missing or stale cited artifacts; explicit uncertainty.
+
+### 8. Quiz as Speed Regulator
+
+5 questions (3 for a small change). Every option gets feedback explaining why. No positional tell (vary the correct slot). No length tell (keep options at even lengths). The quiz exists to slow the reader down, not to grade them.
+

+
+- Korean prose by default. `--en` switches the body to English but headers stay Korean. `--md` produces Markdown instead of HTML.
+- Technical tokens (paths, commands, identifiers, versions, error strings) stay verbatim in every mode.

+

+- External resource references (scripts, stylesheets, remote images, fetch, XMLHttpRequest)
+- Missing canonical sections
+- Artifact placed inside the repo worktree
+- Filename not date-prefixed (YYYY-MM-DD-)
+- Code blocks present but none carry `data-src` attribution (the anti-fabrication check cannot run without it)
+- A code quote attributed to a file that does not exist
+- A phantom quote (quoted lines absent from the cited file)

+The verifier exits nonzero on failure. Do not claim done if the verifier did not pass.
