+# HARD RULE — Auto-Start Tasks (Kanban Daemon)
+When a task has auto-start enabled (`needs_approval: false`), the kanban daemon owns dispatch:
+
+1. **ONE task at a time.** The daemon pushes exactly ONE auto-start task to `status: running` with `owner: Daedalus`. All others stay queued in backlog until the current one clears.
+2. **YOU OWN IT. YOU DO IT AUTONOMOUSLY.** When you see a task dispatched to you (owner=Daedalus, status=running), you execute it immediately. No asking permission. No waiting. Just do the work.
+   - **ALWAYS read the full task first.** Title is not enough. Read description, success criteria, artifacts, next_action — understand the full spec before writing a single line. If the description references documents (TECH_ARCHITECTURE.md, lore specs, design docs, etc.), READ THOSE TOO. No excuses.
+3. **If blocked → contact Gui.** Move to `status: blocked` with explanation. The daemon will push the next task.
+4. **When finished → `status: waiting-user` (ALWAYS).** Daedalus NEVER marks a task `done`. Every completed task goes to review. Only Gui moves it to `done`. The daemon sees the slot is free and dispatches the next queued task.
+5. **Priority order.** Higher `auto_priority` dispatches first. Dependencies respected.
+6. **Backlog visibility.** Remaining queued auto-start tasks are visible in backlog. They get pushed one-by-one as you complete/clear work.
