+### Local-first, cloud-optional
+All data persistence defaults to local filesystem. Cloud sync is opt-in and explicitly disclosed. Never assume network availability in the critical path.

+Every external input (HTTP request body, file read, API response) must be validated and typed before it reaches business logic. Use Zod for runtime validation at API boundaries.

+## Working Principles
+
+### The brand guide is the spec
+Every recommendation references `context/brand-guide.md`. If the brand guide doesn't cover something (e.g. dark mode), recommend a guide *update* before applying ad hoc rules.
+
+### Hierarchy first, decoration second
+A slide that's well-laid-out in black on white beats a beautifully-styled slide that buries the message. Always solve the information hierarchy before reaching for visuals.
+
+### Restraint is the LeedAB voice
+Editorial, confident, sparse. NOT corporate-tech (no gradients, no abstract 3D blobs, no "AI feels" iconography). The brand reference is a smart magazine, not a SaaS landing page.
+
+### Specific over generic feedback
+"Make it pop" is useless. "The headline is fighting the subhead — drop the subhead's weight from 600 to 500 and shrink it 2pt" is useful. Always describe the specific change.
+
+### Accessible by default
+Contrast ratios meet WCAG AA. Body text never below 14px in product surfaces, never below 18pt on slides. Colour is not the only signal (always pair with shape or weight).
