# Markdownplus::Julia
2
+
3
+
Julia plugin for [Markdownplus](https://github.com/cpetersen/markdownplus)
4
+
5
+
## Installation
6
+
7
+
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
8
+
9
+
gem 'markdownplus-julia'
10
+
11
+
And then execute:
12
+
13
+
$ bundle
14
+
15
+
Or install it yourself as:
16
+
17
+
$ gem install markdownplus-julia
18
+
19
+
### Note
20
+
21
+
This gem requires `julia` be accessable from the `$PATH`.
22
+
23
+
## Usage
24
+
25
+
The following will pull the data from `my_data_variable` and put it into a data frame which will be accessible from julia by the name `my_julia_variable`. It then creates a graph using [Gadfly](https://github.com/dcjones/Gadfly.jl) and outputs an SVG directly into the rendered HTML.
26
+
27
+
```
28
+
```julia(dataFrame('my_julia_variable',get('my_data_variable'))),strip_whitespace(),raw()
29
+
using Gadfly
30
+
myplot = plot(x=1:10, y=2.^rand(10),
31
+
Scale.y_sqrt, Geom.point, Geom.smooth,
32
+
Guide.xlabel("Stimulus"), Guide.ylabel("Response"), Guide.title("Dog Training"))
33
+
draw(SVGJS(STDOUT, 4inch, 3inch), myplot)
34
+
```
35
+
36
+
