# Client Manager Relationships
2
+
This view is used to represent the relationship between a client and its relationship manager. A client can have many relationship managers and we can declare a relationship manager as primary (displayed by a star icon to the left of the row). Only the primary relationship manager is displayed when looking at a list of persons or companies.
3
+
4
+
## Workflow:
5
+
A relationship can have one of five different states that can be switched between by clicking on the corresponding buttons. These are displayed at the top of the instance.
6
+
7
+

8
+
9
+
_Displayed in red are those transitions that can only be administered by a manager._
10
+
11
+
### Draft:
12
+
The initial status after creating a new relationship. You are able to modify and directly delete the relationship in this status. After checking if the information you provided is correct you can either submit the relationship for review by a manager or directly approve the relationship if you yourself are a manager.
13
+
14
+
### Pending Add:
15
+
Displays the pending requests to add a relationship. The request can no longer be modified from here on. This status only concerns managers as only they have the permissions to approve or deny any requests. After denial the request returns to its prior draft status and can once again be modified and submitted or deleted.
16
+
17
+
### Approved:
18
+
After approval by a manager this is the status of the relationship. Exclusively approved relationships are the ones displayed under "Your Clients/Prospects/Contacts" and "Your contact". Only if a relationship is non-primary it is possible to request to a) make the relationship primary or b) remove the relationship. Both options create a pending (add/remove) request that again needs to be approved by a manager. As a consequence, when trying to remove a primary relationship one needs to first approve a different primary relationship manager for the client making the old relationship non-primary and removable. The only exception to this is when the primary relationship manager is the only manager for its client. In this case you can request their removal.
19
+
20
+
### Pending Remove:
21
+
Displays requests to remove a relationship. This is the second status that only concerns managers as they have the relevant permissions. If a remove request is denied the relationship switches back to its prior approved status.
22
+
23
+
### Removed:
24
+
The status after approval of a remove request that serves as a history of recent client manager relationships. From here it is possible to directly delete the relationship or reinstate it which creates a pending add request.
