+# tlsd
+
+A simple way to make a Node.js based HTTPS server that uses a real SSL/TLS certificate.
+
+
+## Step 1: Point your domain name to your server
+
+For example, if you domain is "foo.com", and your server's IP address is
+"1.2.3.4", then you might create a DNS "A" record that points the domain
+"foo.com" to "1.2.3.4".
+
+
+## Step 2: Install this Node module
+
+	npm install tlsd
+
+
+## Step 3: Use this Node module
+
+Write your server code:
+
+	const tlsd = require( "." ).create( "foo@yourdomain.com", true );
+
+	const handler = function( req, res ) {
+		res.write( "Hello, world.\n" );
+		res.end();
+	};
+
+	tlsd.add_domain( "yourdomain.com", handler );
+
+	tlsd.listen();

+
+## Step 4: Test
+
+When you run your code, yyou should be able to do something like:
+
+	curl "https:foo.com"
+
+The output should be your "Hello, world.\n" text.
+
+Note that the first time you make the request there is short detail whil
+the certificate is being created and registered.
