+<p>Alone amongst the SQLite Persisters, this one needs no third-party dependency at all, since the module ships with Node.js itself. Both JSON and tabular modes are supported, as is persisting a <a href="https://tinybase.org/api/mergeable-store/interfaces/mergeable/mergeablestore/"><code>MergeableStore</code></a> in JSON mode.</p><p>Since <code>node:sqlite</code> does not signal when the database changes, automatic loading polls, just as it does for the <a href="https://tinybase.org/api/persister-better-sqlite3/interfaces/persister/bettersqlite3persister/"><code>BetterSqlite3Persister</code></a>. And note that the module is still marked as experimental in Node.js, so its <a href="https://tinybase.org/api/">API</a> may change.</p><h2 id="deprecations-ahead-of-v10-0">Deprecations Ahead Of v10.0</h2><p>Two Persisters are deprecated as of this release, and will be removed in v10.0. Both still work exactly as before, but your editor will now show them struck through, and it is worth planning the move.</p><p>The <a href="https://tinybase.org/api/persister-sqlite3/"><code>persister-sqlite3</code></a> module is the first. The <code>sqlite3</code> module that it binds to is no longer maintained - its own v6 release marks the repository as such - and SQLite is now built into Node.js, so the <a href="https://tinybase.org/api/persister-sqlite-node/interfaces/persister/sqlitenodepersister/"><code>SqliteNodePersister</code></a> described above replaces it directly. If you need to support versions of Node.js that predate the built-in <code>node:sqlite</code> module, the <a href="https://tinybase.org/api/persister-better-sqlite3/interfaces/persister/bettersqlite3persister/"><code>BetterSqlite3Persister</code></a> is the one to reach for instead.</p><p>The <a href="https://tinybase.org/api/persister-electric-sql/"><code>persister-electric-sql</code></a> module is the second. The <code>electric-sql</code> module that it binds to was deprecated by its authors, has not been published since 2024, and has been superseded by a rebuilt sync engine with a different architecture that does not map onto the <a href="https://tinybase.org/api/the-essentials/persisting-stores/persister/"><code>Persister</code></a> interface.
