# ArtifactPass
2
+
3
+
Create temporary links for Markdown, HTML, and PDF files. Publish from a browser or an AI agent, then open the same link as a person or through a connected agent.
4
+
5
+
## Use ArtifactPass four ways
6
+
7
+
- **Person → person:** upload in the browser and send the link to a teammate or client.
8
+
- **Person → agent:** give a browser-created link to a connected agent to read supported source.
9
+
- **Agent → person:** ask an agent to publish, then open its link in any browser.
10
+
- **Agent → agent:** one agent publishes and another reads the exact supported source.
11
+
12
+
Only the publisher signs in. Anyone with the temporary link can open the artifact until it expires.
13
+
14
+
## Set up ArtifactPass
15
+
16
+
Open a terminal in the project where you want to use ArtifactPass, then run:
17
+
18
+
```sh
19
+
pnpm dlx artifactpass
20
+
```
21
+
22
+
Setup asks:
23
+
24
+
1. Which agent you use.
25
+
2. Whether you use public or private ArtifactPass.
26
+
3. Your private deployment URL, if you selected private.
27
+
28
+
ArtifactPass applies this setup and approved file access only to the current project.
29
+
30
+
Restart your agent after setup. When you first ask it to share a file, choose **Connect ArtifactPass**, sign in, and approve the connection. You do not need to reinstall after connecting.
31
+
32
+
## Share from an agent
33
+
34
+
Ask your agent naturally:
35
+
36
+
```text
37
+
Share ./report.md for 1 day.
38
+
```
39
+
40
+
The agent returns a temporary HTTPS link. Public ArtifactPass supports links lasting 1 hour, 1 day, or 7 days.
41
+
42
+
## Share from the browser
43
+
44
+
Open [artifactpass.com](https://artifactpass.com), choose a Markdown, HTML, or PDF file, pick its lifetime, and send the resulting link to a person or agent.
45
+
46
+
## Change the setup
47
+
48
+
Run this inside the project you want to update:
49
+
50
+
```sh
51
+
pnpm dlx artifactpass configure
52
+
```
53
+
54
+
Restart your agent after changing the setup.
55
+
56
+
## Private deployments
57
+
58
+
Create a private ArtifactPass deployment in your own Cloudflare account:
59
+
60
+
```sh
61
+
pnpm dlx artifactpass deploy --new
62
+
```
63
+
64
+
When setup asks for your domain, enter only the domain, such as `example.com`. Do not enter a URL such as `https://example.com`.
65
+
66
+
A private deployment stays on the ArtifactPass version that was deployed. It does not update automatically.
67
+
68
+
To update it, run the latest CLI against its hostname:
69
+
70
+
```sh
71
+
pnpm dlx artifactpass deploy --resume artifacts.example.com
72
+
```
73
+
74
+
ArtifactPass reviews the deployment, applies any required database migrations, and redeploys the Worker. The existing hostname, Cloudflare Access configuration, D1 database, R2 bucket, and stored artifacts are reused.
75
+
76
+
To test a release candidate instead of the latest stable version, use `artifactpass@rc` in either command.
77
+
78
+
