The fallout was silent: XLM keystore wallets registered with an empty address, `getBalance` failed with `toolbox_stellar_account_not_found` without a Horizon call ever firing, and transaction signing (including the trustline approval flow) was broken in web apps, while Node/Bun (and therefore all tests) resolved the `default` condition and worked. v16 ships native ESM with no `browser` condition, restoring correct named-export resolution everywhere.
