Wheel and scripted scrolls ended at 307; every touch drag and fling ended at 0, so on a phone no card's second photograph could be reached at all.

A native scroll moves the strip without telling `useCardGallery`, so its `active` stayed 0 while the browser was showing 1 — and the hook's effect, on the next render, imposed the stale answer by scrolling back. Two changes, both about who owns the position:
