+# osm — the OpenSkill CLI
+
+Search, add, score, and explore AI agent skills, blueprints, and MCP servers from
+[OpenSkill.md](https://openskill.md) — right from your terminal.
+

+npm i -g @openskillmd/osm@beta
+# or the unscoped alias:
+npm i -g openskillmd@beta
+```

+Both packages install the same CLI and expose the `osm` command (plus `openskill`
+and `openskillmd` aliases).
+
+> **Beta:** the current release is published under the `beta` dist-tag and points at
+> the staging API — install it with the `@beta` tag shown above. A plain
+> `npm i -g @openskillmd/osm` will not resolve until the stable `latest` release
+> lands when the production API goes live.

+### Installing skills
+
+`osm add` installs skills from a source repository (it delegates to the
+[`skills`](https://www.npmjs.com/package/skills) installer and is agent-aware):

+
+Run `osm search <query>` to discover skills, then `osm info <slug>` — the install
+hint shows the exact `osm add owner/repo` command for that skill.

+## Configuration
+
+Settings live in `~/.openskill/config.json`:
+

+The API base URL is resolved in this order:
+
+1. `OPENSKILL_API_URL` environment variable
+2. `baseUrl` in `~/.openskill/config.json`

+## Coming soon
+
