+Host-side sibling plugins can push one structured announcement through the `pet` cordis service (`ctx.pet.announce({ source, kind, title, ... })`); the browser half renders it as a dedicated, specially styled bubble riding the top of the session bubble stack — its own glass style with a tone accent (`ok`/`warn`/`low`), an amount pill for balance or today-spend kinds, a mini meter for plan-percent windows, and the reset instant. The payload is validated into a bounded shape (src/announce.ts): unknown fields drop, text truncates, TTL clamps to 1 s - 2 h (default 10 s; a repeating announcer declares its poll cadence so an always-mode bubble stays continuous, and the ceiling still unmounts a dead source's bubble within one missed refresh), and a malformed announcement is dropped silently. Announcements are in-memory only: the freshest one wins, an expired one stops rendering, and neither pet.json nor the ledger is touched. There is deliberately no HTTP surface — the API is the in-process service, per the cross-plugin collaboration rule.
