### Minor Changes

- [#3036](https://github.com/ethlete-io/ethdk/pull/3036) [`aa4bdde`](https://github.com/ethlete-io/ethdk/commit/aa4bdde586615ed13735ed9c970831b91323ebad) Thanks [@github-actions](https://github.com/apps/github-actions)! - Add `<et-query-devtools>` (`QUERY_DEVTOOLS_IMPORTS`): a floating, dockable panel
8
+
that inspects the signals-first `@ethlete/query` system — queries, stacks,
9
+
sequences, GraphQL queries, bearer auth providers, web socket clients, the
10
+
repository cache and a rolling event log. Enable instrumentation with
11
+
`provideQueryDevtools()` from `@ethlete/query`.
12
+
13
+
Beyond a read-only view it can act on live queries: a searchable value explorer,
14
+
JIT editing (apply an edited response via `setResponse`, replay with edited
15
+
args), forcing loading / error / empty states, cache freshness countdowns with
16
+
refetch / evict, and an "inspect" mode that highlights the component behind a
17
+
query when you hover the live UI.
18
+

19

Calls are identified by base URL (not the internal client name); stacks and auth

providers surface identifying info (endpoint, features, queries, token-expiry

+
countdown); the Stacks and Sequences drawers each keep their own selection; and a
22
+
"Copy report" action puts a Slack-ready rich-text summary (path, args, status,
23
+
slimmed response, GraphQL document) on the clipboard.

- [#3036](https://github.com/ethlete-io/ethdk/pull/3036) [`2699bf3`](https://github.com/ethlete-io/ethdk/commit/2699bf3fa4b7a9a906f274c6b63598ed78644f1a) Thanks [@github-actions](https://github.com/apps/github-actions)! - Throw `ET1208` when an overlay header, body, or footer is used without an `etOverlayMain` ancestor, so the misuse surfaces immediately instead of silently rendering an unstyled region.

### Patch Changes
32
+
33
+
- [`90dad92`](https://github.com/ethlete-io/ethdk/commit/90dad922e8985b76e5f5ad67727333de6f5b9431) Thanks [@TomTomB](https://github.com/TomTomB)! - Overlays now elevate one level above the surface their **trigger** actually sits on, resolved from the trigger's nearest surface ancestor in the DOM rather than from dependency injection. The overlay container previously read its parent surface from the injector context (`SURFACE_PROVIDER`), which is wrong across the portal boundary: an overlay's trigger keeps the injector of where it was _declared_, and the anchored panel overlays (select, cascader, date-picker, menu) mount with no DI link to the trigger at all — so they always landed at elevation 1.
34
+
35
+
This fixes two cases:
36
+
37
+
- A `select` (or any anchored panel) opened from **inside a dialog** now mounts at elevation 2 instead of matching the dialog's elevation 1.
38
+
- A picker anchored to a field inside an **elevated card** (e.g. a date input in a card at elevation 1) now elevates above the card instead of staying at elevation 1.
39
+
40
+
Nested content (submenus elevating above their parent menu) and the plain non-nested case (an overlay opened from the base page mounts at elevation 1) are unchanged. Modal dialogs still always mount at elevation 1 — a backdrop resets the visual context.
