- **The dev-only chat proxy (`server.js`, port 3456) had no signal handlers.** Ctrl+C / `concurrently --kill-others-on-fail` SIGTERM killed the parent npm process but the proxy stayed detached, holding the port. Subsequent `npm run dev` invocations then crashed with `EADDRINUSE: address already in use :::3456` → `concurrently` SIGTERMed vite mid-dep-scan → user saw the cryptic `Failed to scan for dependencies from entries` error. Manual orphan-kill was the only workaround; the same trap kept resurfacing across sessions (4th+ recurrence motivated this fix). NEW `SIGINT` / `SIGTERM` handlers call `server.close()` to release the port cleanly, with a 5-second forced-exit fallback if an in-flight upstream stream blocks. The proxy file is dev-only (absent from the `@adia-ai/llm` package's `files:` array), so the change has no consumer-facing impact — pure devloop polish. Files: `server.js`.
