# Faraday Patron adapter
2
+
3
+
This gem is a [Faraday][faraday] adapter for the [Patron][patron] library.
4
+
Faraday is an HTTP client library that provides a common interface over many adapters.
5
+
Every adapter is defined into its own gem. This gem defines the adapter for Patron.
6
+
7
+
## Installation
8
+
9
+
Add these lines to your application's Gemfile:
10
+
11
+
```ruby
12
+
gem 'patron', '>= 2.2'
13
+
gem 'faraday'
14
+
gem 'faraday-patron'
15
+
```
16
+
17
+
And then execute:
18
+
19
+
$ bundle install
20
+
21
+
Or install them yourself as:
22
+
23
+
$ gem install patron -v '>= 2.2'
24
+
$ gem install faraday faraday-patron
25
+
26
+
## Usage
27
+
28
+
Configure your Faraday connection to use this adapter like this:
29
+
30
+
```ruby
31
+
connection = Faraday.new(url, conn_options) do |conn|
32
+
conn.adapter(:patron)
33
+
end
34
+
```
35
+
36
+
For more information on how to setup your Faraday connection and adapters usage, please refer to the [Faraday Website][faraday-website].
37
+
38
+
## Development
39
+
40
+
After checking out the repo, run `bin/setup` to install dependencies. Then, run `bin/test` to run the tests. You can also run `bin/console` for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
41
+
42
+
To release a new version, update the version number in `version.rb`, and then run `bundle exec rake release`, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the `.gem` file to [rubygems.org](rubygems).
43
+

+

## License
49
+
