# AutoFlick
2
+
3
+
Upload photos directly to flickr to utilize the 1TB of free storage. Uses Phantomjs to hack Flickr's oauth.
4
+
Inspired by kzeng10 and stegastore.
5
+
6
+
## Installation
7
+
8
+
Note: This gem uses phantomjs. For mac: `brew install phantomjs`.
9
+
10
+
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
11
+
12
+
```ruby
13
+
gem 'auto_flick'
14
+
```
15
+
16
+
And then execute:
17
+
18
+
$ bundle
19
+
20
+
Or install it yourself as:
21
+
22
+
$ gem install auto_flick
23
+
24
+
Note: In order to use the Gem, you must first have a flickr account and sign up and create a flickr app. https://www.flickr.com/services/apps/create/
25
+
26
+
## Usage
27
+
28
+
Configure the gem:
29
+
30
+
```ruby
31
+
AutoFlick.config({
32
+
username: "my username here"
33
+
password: "my password here"
34
+
api_key: "my api key here",
35
+
shared_secret: "my api secret here"
36
+
})
37
+
```
38
+
39
+
And then `AutoFlick.upload('path_to_photo')` will upload the photo and return the full res url.
40
+
41
+
## Development
42
+
43
+
After checking out the repo, run `bin/setup` to install dependencies. Then, run `rake spec` to run the tests. You can also run `bin/console` for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
44
+
45
+
To install this gem onto your local machine, run `bundle exec rake install`. To release a new version, update the version number in `version.rb`, and then run `bundle exec rake release`, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the `.gem` file to [rubygems.org](https://rubygems.org).
46
