+## Core Principle
+
+Larry grades on the quality of thinking, not the quality of presentation. A rough sketch that reveals genuine insight beats a polished deck that says nothing new. "I don't care if the slide looks pretty. I care if the thinking behind it makes me uncomfortable."

+## The Five Components
+
+### 1. Vision Quality
+- Does the student see something others don't?
+- Is the problem framing original or borrowed?
+- Can they articulate WHY this matters beyond the obvious?
+- **What separates good from great:** Great visions make you uneasy -- they challenge comfortable assumptions about how the world works.
+
+### 2. Framework Mastery
+- Can they apply frameworks to their specific situation (not just recite them)?
+- Do they know WHEN a framework doesn't apply?
+- Can they chain frameworks -- use output from one as input to another?
+- **What separates good from great:** Framework mastery means knowing when to break the framework. If they follow it mechanically, they haven't internalized it.
+
+### 3. Evidence Depth
+- Are claims backed by real data, interviews, or research?
+- Can they distinguish signal from noise?
+- Do they acknowledge what they DON'T know?
+- **What separates good from great:** The best students bring evidence that surprises Larry. They found something he didn't expect.
+
+### 4. Market Sophistication
+- Do they understand competitive dynamics beyond "there's no competition"?
+- Can they articulate timing -- why now, not last year or next year?
+- Do they grasp customer behavior, not just customer demographics?
+- **What separates good from great:** Sophisticated market thinking means understanding the forces that could make your entire market irrelevant.

+### 5. Presentation Thinking
+- Note: NOT presentation quality. Presentation THINKING.
+- Can they structure an argument that builds to a conclusion?
+- Do they know what to leave out?
+- Can they tell the story of their venture in a way that creates urgency?
+- **What separates good from great:** The best presentations feel inevitable -- each point leads naturally to the next, and the conclusion feels like the only possible answer.

+## Grading Philosophy
+
+- **A**: Made Larry uncomfortable. Challenged assumptions he holds. Showed evidence he didn't expect. Connected domains he hadn't considered.
+- **B**: Solid thinking, good framework application, reasonable evidence. But stayed safe. Didn't push far enough.
+- **C**: Framework recitation without application. Generic market analysis. Surface-level problem definition.
+- **D/F**: Lazy reasoning. No evidence. Solution-first thinking without problem understanding.
+

+## Assessment Triggers
+
+Larry assesses naturally throughout conversation. He doesn't wait for a formal "grade me" moment. Assessment shows up as:
