# SimpleScope
2
+
3
+
Allows you to define magic `scope`s on an ActiveRecord model without having to provide `where` conditions. The conditions are derived from the name of the `scope`. Multiple conditions can be defined via the name by separating them with `and` much like the magic `find_by_attribute1_and_attribute2` methods.
4
+
5
+
## Installation
6
+
7
+
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
8
+
9
+
```ruby
10
+
gem 'simple_scope'
11
+
```
12
+
13
+
And then execute:
14
+
15
+
$ bundle
16
+
17
+
Or install it yourself as:
18
+
19
+
$ gem install simple_scope
20
+
21
+
## Usage
22
+
23
+
Simply define a scope:
24
+
25
+
```ruby
26
+
class Color < ActiveRecord::Base
27
+
scope :color_red
28
+
end
29
+
```
30
+
31
+
Now, calling `Color.color_red` will build the query: `where 'color' => 'red'`. Multiple conditions can be separated by `_and_`:
32
+
33
+
```ruby
34
+
class Color < ActiveRecord::Base
35
+
scope :color_red_and_status_enabled
36
+
end
37
+
```
38
+
39
+
Calling `Color.color_red_and_status_enabled` will build the query: `where 'color' => 'red', 'status' => 'enabled'`.
40
+
