# Contributor Covenant Code of Conduct
2
+
3
+
## Our Pledge
4
+
5
+
In the interest of fostering an open and welcoming environment, we as
6
+
contributors and maintainers pledge to making participation in our project and
7
+
our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body
8
+
size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience,
9
+
nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and
10
+
orientation.
11
+
12
+
## Our Standards
13
+
14
+
Examples of behavior that contributes to creating a positive environment
15
+
include:
16
+
17
+
* Using welcoming and inclusive language
18
+
* Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences
19
+
* Gracefully accepting constructive criticism
20
+
* Focusing on what is best for the community
21
+
* Showing empathy towards other community members
22
+
23
+
Examples of unacceptable behavior by participants include:
24
+
25
+
* The use of sexualized language or imagery and unwelcome sexual attention or
26
+
advances
27
+
* Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
28
+
* Public or private harassment
29
+
* Publishing others' private information, such as a physical or electronic
30
+
address, without explicit permission
31
+
* Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a
32
+
professional setting
33
+
34
+
## Our Responsibilities
35
+
36
+
Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying the standards of acceptable
37
+
behavior and are expected to take appropriate and fair corrective action in
38
+
response to any instances of unacceptable behavior.
39
+
40
+
Project maintainers have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or
41
+
reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions
42
+
that are not aligned to this Code of Conduct, or to ban temporarily or
43
+
permanently any contributor for other behaviors that they deem inappropriate,
44
+
threatening, offensive, or harmful.
45
+
46
+
## Scope
47
+
48
+
This Code of Conduct applies both within project spaces and in public spaces
49
+
when an individual is representing the project or its community. Examples of
50
+
representing a project or community include using an official project e-mail
51
+
address, posting via an official social media account, or acting as an appointed
52
+
representative at an online or offline event. Representation of a project may be
53
+
further defined and clarified by project maintainers.
54
+
55
+
## Enforcement
56
+
57
+
Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be
58
+
reported by contacting the project team at wizard.oneandonly@gmail.com. All
59
+
complaints will be reviewed and investigated and will result in a response that
60
+
is deemed necessary and appropriate to the circumstances. The project team is
61
+
obligated to maintain confidentiality with regard to the reporter of an incident.
62
+
Further details of specific enforcement policies may be posted separately.
63
+
64
+
Project maintainers who do not follow or enforce the Code of Conduct in good
65
+
faith may face temporary or permanent repercussions as determined by other
66
+
members of the project's leadership.
67
+
68
+
## Attribution

# Forminator
2
+
[![Build Status](https://travis-ci.org/wizardone/forminator.svg?branch=master)](https://travis-ci.org/wizardone/forminator)
3
+
4
+
## Installation
5
+
6
+
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
7
+
8
+
```ruby
9
+
gem 'forminator'
10
+
```
11
+
12
+
And then execute:
13
+
14
+
$ bundle
15
+
16
+
Or install it yourself as:
17
+
18
+
$ gem install forminator
19
+
20
+
## Usage
21
+
First you need to configure the wizard so it knows the object that you
22
+
interact with (usually a used model). If you like to persist the model you can
23
+
supply a callable object that takes care of the persistence. Whether you
24
+
want to persist after each step or after the final one is up to you.
25
+
26
+
```ruby
27
+
Forminator.configure do |config|
28
+
config.klass = :user
29
+
config.persist = -> (user) { user.save }
30
+
end
31
+
```
32
+
To build a form wizard step you need to subclass the `Forminator::Step`
33
+
class
34
+
35
+
```ruby
36
+
class FirstStep < Forminator::Step
37
+
validations do
38
+
required(:email) { filled? }
39
+
required(:password) { filled? }
40
+
end
41
+
42
+
# By default this returns false, so if you want to persist the object
43
+
# after each step you need to overwrite the method
44
+
def persist?
45
+
true
46
+
end
47
+
end
48
+
```
49
+
Then you can do:
50
+
```ruby
51
+
user = User.new
52
+
some_params = { email: 'test@test.com', password: 'ineedtocryptmypassword' }
53
+
FirstStep.(user, some_params)
54
+
=> [{ valid: true }, some_params]
55
+
```
56
+
Each step always returns an array of 2 elements: a hash with the
57
+
validity and the initially passed params. This allows for easy chaining
58
+
of events.
59
+
60
+
61
+
If you want to call a custom persistence logic for a certain step you
62
+
can pass an optionable callable object like so:
63
+
64
+
```ruby
65
+
class CustomPersistenceLogic
66
+
def call(user)
67
+
# persistence logic goes here
68
+
end
69
+
end
70
+
user = User.new
71
+
FirstStep.(user, some_params, persist: CustomPersistenceLogic.new)
72
+
```
73
+
The callable object will receive the original object that you interact
74
+
with.
75
+
76
+
Want to build a whole flow of steps? Just use the `Forminator::Flow`
77
+
class
78
+
```ruby
79
+
steps = [FirstStep, SecondStep, LastStep]
80
+
flow = Forminator::Flow.new(steps: steps)
81
+
flow.current_step
82
+
=> FirstStep
83
+
flow.next_step
84
+
=> SecondStep
85
+
```
86
+
You can also add steps on the way with:
87
+
```ruby
88
+
flow.add(step: IntermediateStep)
89
+
```
90
+
Keep in mind that you can only add steps that inherit from
91
+
`Forminator::Step`.
92
+
You can also remove steps:
93
+
```ruby
94
+
flow.remove(step: LastStep)
95
+
=> LastStep
96
+
```
97
+
Calling `remove` will return the removed step.
98
+
99
+
`Forminator` uses `Hanami::Validations` which in it's own term uses
100
+
`Dry::Validation` :heart. You can [refer](https://github.com/hanami/validations) them for a detailed DSL about
101
+
validations.
102
+
103
+
## Development
104
+
105
+
After checking out the repo, run `bin/setup` to install dependencies. Then, run `rake spec` to run the tests. You can also run `bin/console` for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
106
+
107
+
To install this gem onto your local machine, run `bundle exec rake install`. To release a new version, update the version number in `version.rb`, and then run `bundle exec rake release`, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the `.gem` file to [rubygems.org](https://rubygems.org).
