+ h1. Static GA
2
+
3
+ Sometimes with static html websites or with inappropriately developped websites (but the client doesn't wish to redevelop it appropriately), it's quite a pain in the ass to add the Google Analytics tag to hundreds of files.
4
+ That's what Static GA tries to remove by parsing every file, looking if it already has the Google Analytics tag yet or not.
5
+
6
+ And if it doesn't have it, adding it.
7
+
8
+ h2. How it works
9
+
10
+ Download the application (it'll soon be a gem using rake).
11
+ And launch analytics.rb with two parameters :
12
+
13
+ * The first one is the directory that you wish to recursively parse
14
+ * The second one is your Google Analytics code. For example : UA-6352751-33
15
+
16
+ It'll launch the script and display to you the path of every updated file.
17
+
18
+ h2. Requirements
19
+
20
+ The only required package is *rake*.
21
+
22
+ h2. Example
23
+
24
+ rake static_ga
25
+
26
+ The path to the project and the GA code will be asked to you.
27
+
28
+
29
+ h2. TODO
30
+
31
+ * Make it a gem
